Weekly Update 9/17/2013: Information Percolation
This week is pretty light on content since right now most of what’s going on is play testing and there’s very little to report.
Elementary is continuing to shape up nicely. After the last round of play tests I’m pleased with the changes to scoring and game play, but there’s still a few aspects of the game I really want to tighten up. The scoring is not quite where I want it and the turn order needs to be more streamlined. There’s also a few less game breaking aspects of the game that just don’t seem quite right yet, so I’m going to give it a few weeks of play testing to percolate through my head. The player turns tend to runaway with the player, I think that there needs to be more spells and I’m not convinced that the current cap on spells is the best way for the game to play. I’m also not satisfied with how the players gain cards and feel that the mechanic need more refinement.
